Learning About Solar in Steps

As I have approached many people about how to teach kids how solar power works I discover more that adults also need some answers.

One of the main questions I get about everything from home solar panels to solar garden lights and water pumps is “how long can solar power run my lights, pump, home, etc.”

There are a variety of answers depending on your own situation, for instance what type of battery storage are you using if any? For the solar garden lights you have a battery in the light that recharges during the sun hours of the day and discharges at night to power the light. After several cloudy days the lights do dim. However, if there was more energy storage or another battery, the light would last longer.

Getting and Keeping Your Home school Room Organized

At the end of last year’s school, I found that my home school cabinet was quite the mess. It’s easy to let the shelves and drawers become a catch-all for all the stray papers and cute drawings that the kids have done throughout the year. But, if I remember right, that became a problem towards the end of the school year. Things were falling out of the cabinet as I would reach for each child’s books for the day. That became quite a nuisance, especially since I was nine months pregnant at the end of the school year. Bending down to pick up various objects over and over was not a fun thing to do.

How to Prepare for the ISEE Test

The ISEE test is scored on the basis that the correct answer is given one point and, unlike the SSAT test, the wrong answer is not penalized with anything. This is known as the raw score. This is then put into a scaled score, which can be calculated using the test tables.

The test scores are usually mailed 2 weeks after the exam. The scores are accompanied with some diagnostic details. The schools which you have applied for will automatically receive a copy of the grade statement and your dissertation statement as well.

The ISEE Test, which stands for the Independent School Entrance Test is used by many private schools as an entrance criterion. The score of this test is very important for the schools, and hence it is imperative that you make sure that your son or daughter gets a high score. The schools acceptance rate is quite low; there are many schools that take 1 out of 5 students. The exam is divided into 5 different sections: quantitative reasoning, verbal reasoning, reading comprehension, achievement, mathematics and an essay.
