What Tools Do You Need to Encourage Your Child’s Interest in Science?

My kids love science. The oldest are in elementary school, so it’s mostly learning facts and very basic experiments, nothing too complex yet. It’s a great field to have your children interested in, but how can you encourage them?

The simplest way to encourage your child to love science it to allow him or her to do experiments. They can be as simple as mixing a bit of water into corn starch and seeing how that mixture has unusual properties. That said, having a bit of equipment available makes things a lot more fun.

A basic child’s microscope is quite affordable, for example. You can buy basic models for under $20, or spend over $100 for ones with a screen viewer or that can connect to your computer with a USB cord. Once your child has explored how amazing things are with a simple magnifying glass, a microscope is a great next step.

Euro Map

Europe is the world’s 6th largest continent which includes 47 countries and assorted dependencies, islands and territories. Europe is not actually a continent; it is a part of the peninsula of Eurasia which includes all of Europe and Asia. Mainland Europe geographically is the western part of the Eurasian super-continent. However, it is still regarded as a separate continent. The European continent does not have any geographical or geological boundaries in east. It is by convention separated from Asia by the Ural Mountains, the Ural River, the Caucasus Mountains, in south-east by the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea. In south the Mediterranean Sea separates Europe from the African continent and its western borders are defined by the Atlantic Ocean and to the north by the Polar Sea.

Cyber School Curriculum Meets the Needs of Many Students

Online courses are only for gifted and talented students who want to challenge themselves outside of a traditional classroom, right? Wrong!

Cyber school curriculum is designed to meet the needs of all different kinds of students. That’s because today’s online schools understand that students and their parents have a variety of reasons for wanting to get involved with an online educational community.

In addition to taking gifted and talented courses, some of the reasons students attend online schools include:

  • Wanting to escape negative socialization experiences at a traditional school
  • Needing to remove the distractions of a brick and mortar classroom
  • Being part of a family that moves around or travels frequently
  • Having a medical condition that prevents attendance in a traditional school
  • Actively pursuing dancing, acting, performing or athletics
  • Wanting additional instruction in certain topics
  • Looking for a more personalized educational experience

Listening Test for IELTS

The listening test for IELTS comprises four sections to be completed in 30 minutes with 10 minutes transfer time (40 minutes in total). The recording which the candidates will get their answers from will be played only once. In other words, there is no room for mistakes in this task, for even the spelling should be correct. So, how do you accurately provide the required sets of answers from a one-time recording you listen to? There are two main points to be familiar with before anything else: the features of oral English and how English words are put together in different ways (paraphrasing and key words).
